All audio is transcribed from digital audio provided by the client via email.  Documents are transcribed using MS Word and will be returned to the client via email with editing capability.

Transcription Solutions Package:

• Recommended package for those business owners who are fully invested in the growth of their business.
• Guaranteed availability.
• Priority work status.
• 72 hour guaranteed turn-around time for projects of 2 audio hours or less.
• Hourly base rate of $2.00 per audio minute. (See below for additional cost factors.)
• Minimum of 5 audio hours prepaid time commitment per month.

 

Transcription Support Package:

• Recommended for new business owners who are on a tight budget. We will help you get your business on track.
• Guaranteed availability.
• 72 hour guaranteed turn-around time for projects of 1 audio hour or less.
• Hourly base rate of $2.15 per audio minute. (See below for additional cost factors.)
• Minimum of 1 audio hour prepaid time commitment per month.

 

Hourly Transcription Package:

• Project turn-around time is based on project requirements and subject to transcriber availability.
• Hourly base rate of $2.40 per audio minute. (See below for additional cost factors.)
• Pre-pay of estimated charges with balance due prior to release of work.

 

All transcription packages include:
·        Proofreading (one time through while listening to audio)
·         Spell check and grammar check
·         Standard Internet research on unknown terms
·         Client formatting preferences including verbatim or smart authoring

 

Additional Cost Factors:
·        Three to Five speakers (25% up-charge)
·         Poor recording quality (40% up-charge)
·        Six or more speakers (40% up-charge)
·         Rush work (50% up-charge)
·         Weekend work (50% up-charge)
·         Accented speakers (50% up-charge)

 

 

The standard ratio for transcribing audio is 4:1; therefore one hour of audio takes a minimum of four hours to transcribe with additional time needed for proofing and required research.
